Scan an ID

Choose Scan ID barcode for the back of a US or Canadian ID, or Scan ID front for printed dates. Keep the ID steady and avoid glare. Always compare the result with the physical ID and the person presenting it.

Understand the result

PASSED: age 21+ and the read expiration is not past.
DENIED: under 21 or expired.
AGE 21+: an age-only result when expiration was not detected; check expiration on the physical ID.

If an ID will not scan

Adjust the lighting, hold the ID still, and try again. You can switch between Barcode and Front, try a photo inside Front, or enter dates manually. Confirm photo suggestions and manually entered dates against the ID.

Reports and feedback

Tap Today's checks or Reports to view and share your totals. Each phone has its own reports, and repeated checks count again. Settings lets you control and test vibration and warning tones.
